US Nuclear Submarine Capable of Destroying an Entire Continent Reportedly Deployed, Sparking Russian Concerns

TIMEMOMENTS.COM - One of America's most deadly weapons is said to have been secretly deployed.

This situation is said to have sparked concerns among several countries, including Russia.

In a report published by Defence Security Asia on August 3, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a secret directive.

He revealed that he had ordered two nuclear-powered submarines to a designated area.

However, the location remains classified, as disclosed by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

No details were provided about the submarines involved, but Trump hinted that one of them was an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine (SSBN).

If true, the submarine would be part of the most deadly of the three tiers of U.S. nuclear weapons.

This bold strategic maritime signal came after Medvedev, now a key figure on the Kremlin's Security Council.

warned Trump to consider Russia's Soviet-era nuclear capabilities, following the former U.S. president's request for caution in his remarks.

Although widely dismissed by some as rhetorical theater.

The decision to deploy the nuclear-powered submarine demonstrates a sophisticated awareness of the U.S. Navy's most formidable deterrent asset, the Ohio-class SSBN, designed for such geopolitical tactics.

There are 14 active Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines, each carrying up to 24 ballistic missiles that can be launched from the submarine (SLBM) Trident II D5.

With this, the United States maintains the ability to strike targets across continents with unmatched speed and power.

Each Trident II D5 missile can be armed with multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs).

This allows a single submarine to deliver dozens of thermonuclear warheads to separate targets up to 4,600 miles (7,400 kilometers) away.

This means that a single Ohio-class submarine carries enough firepower to destroy an entire country, making it not just a weapon but also a deterrent.

What makes these submarines even more formidable is their stealth capability.

At 170 meters (560 feet) in length and weighing over 18,000 tons when submerged, the Ohio-class submarine is massive by naval standards.

However, thanks to advanced noise-reduction technology, including silent engines, anechoic tile coatings, and low-noise propulsion—they are nearly undetectable even by modern anti-submarine warfare (ASW) assets.

This allows the U.S. Navy to maintain a constant and undetected presence in international waters.

The US will also be ready to retaliate if its strategic interests are attacked.
